Here we are going to give you information about the major rules that are going to change from January 1. These include major changes in UPI, PM Kisan, salary of government employees, Aadhaar-PAN link rules. Let’s find out.

UPI:
Rules for UPI and other digital payments through bank accounts are being tightened to curb cyber fraud. Mobile SIM verification rules will be tightened to prevent cyber fraud, so as to curb cyber crimes on a large scale.

PM Farmer:
Farmers availing PM Kisan benefits will now need a unique Kisan ID. Under the PM Kisan Yojana, these changes are being made to benefit as many eligible farmers as possible and to identify fake beneficiaries.

8th Pay Commission:
The 8th Pay Commission will come into effect across the country from January 1. Under the 8th Pay Commission, salary and pension hikes will be implemented for Central Government employees and pensioners, which will be paid to them later along with arrears.

Aadhaar-PAN link:
The last date for linking Aadhaar and PAN is December 31, 2025. If a person does not link their Aadhaar and PAN by December 31, their PAN number will become inactive from January 1, 2026.

These changes will also come into effect from January 1:
Apart from all these, new prices of LPG gas cylinders, PNG, CNG and ATF (Aviation Fuel) will be released on January 1. Please note that prices of LPG gas cylinders, PNG, CNG and ATF are revised every month as per requirement and the new prices come into effect from 1st of every month and remain effective throughout the month. Along with this, many automobile companies are also increasing the prices of their vehicles from January 1, 2026
