Today’s (30th January) Silver rate in India
Silver rate falls before Budget, Know the latest price of 30 January: Silver prices have started to fall ahead of the budget. Silver prices witnessed a sharp decline on Friday, January 30th. On the domestic MCX exchange, silver fell by nearly 5 percent. This is attributed to weakness in the international market and a strengthening dollar.
At 9:21 AM, silver was trading at ₹391,331 per kilogram on the MCX, down 4.72 percent from its previous closing price. Just a day earlier, silver had crossed the ₹4 lakh per kilogram mark, but profit-taking and global cues led to the price drop.
In the international market, silver initially fell by nearly 9 percent on COMEX. However, it later recovered somewhat and was trading at $110.08 per ounce. Even so, it remained about 3.8 percent below its previous level.
There wasn’t much difference in silver prices across different cities in the country. While there were slight variations due to local taxes, jewelers’ margins, and logistics costs, the overall rates remained largely consistent.
