10 lakh women of Bihar are going to get Rs 10,000 each Today

10 lakh women of Bihar are going to receive Rs 10,000 today, Friday, 28th November. The Bihar government will transfer Rs 10,000 to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries of the Jeevika Didi scheme on Friday, under the state government’s ‘Chief Minister Women Employment Scheme’. 9.5 lakh women are from rural areas, while 50,000 are from urban areas. All these women are associated with Jeevika groups. The money will be distributed in different phases, said Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar. All the beneficiaries will receive the payment by 14th December.

So far, the Nitish Kumar government has transferred ₹10,000 each to the accounts of 14 million women under this scheme. The remaining women will receive the money on 28th November, with a deadline of 14th December. Under the “Chief Minister Women Employment Scheme,” women who establish successful businesses will receive additional assistance of up to ₹2 lakh.

Minister Shravan Kumar stated that every eligible Jeevika Didi will receive benefits under this scheme. The government plans to announce more initiatives for women in the coming months. Earlier, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, while campaigning for the state elections, had touted this scheme as a way to increase employment in the state.

The Rural Development Minister said the CM will deposit money into the accounts of 950,000 women in rural areas and 50,000 in urban areas. In Bihar, “Jeevika Didi” refers to women involved in a state government initiative aimed at uplifting rural women socially and economically through self-help groups.
