Reliance Industries Q3 Profit Crosses ₹18,600 Crore
Reliance Industries Reports Solid Q3 Results; Profit at ₹18,600 Crore: Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), the country’s largest company, announced its quarterly results on Friday, January 16. For the quarter ended December 2025, the company reported a consolidated net profit of ₹18,645 crore. This marks a 0.56 percent increase compared to ₹18,540 crore in the same quarter last year. Profit also rose 2.64 percent from the previous quarter.
Revenue rises on strong digital and retail performance: RIL’s revenue from operations grew 10.5 percent year-on-year to ₹2,69,496 crore, up from ₹2,43,865 crore in the December quarter last year. The company reported a 4 percent increase compared to the September quarter of FY26. Strong growth in the digital services and retail businesses supported the rise in revenue.
EBITDA increased 6.1 percent year-on-year to ₹50,932 crore, compared to ₹48,003 crore in the same quarter last year.
Oil-to-Chemicals business shows improvement: The Oil-to-Chemicals (O2C) business reported an 8.4 percent year-on-year increase in revenue. Production rose 1.7 percent compared to the same quarter last year. Through its Jio-BP partnership, the company expanded its fuel retail network by 14 percent to 2,125 outlets.
EBITDA from the O2C segment rose 14.6 percent year-on-year. Higher refining margins, driven by efficient crude sourcing and refining, helped improve overall earnings in this segment.
Oil and Gas segment under pressure: Revenue from the oil and gas segment fell 8.4 percent year-on-year in the December quarter. Lower production and higher operating costs due to maintenance activities led to a 12.7 percent decline in EBITDA.
Strong performance by retail and telecom: Reliance Retail delivered a steady performance during the quarter. EBITDA increased slightly to ₹6,915 crore, with margins at 8.0 percent.
Jio Platforms reported strong growth, with EBITDA rising 16.4 percent year-on-year. Better operating leverage helped improve margins by 170 basis points.
