RBI imposed a Fine on this Bank
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed a monetary penalty of ₹4,19,550 (₹4.20 lakh) on Bank of India for violations related to regulatory compliance. The penalty was imposed on December 3, 2025.
These violations relate to mutilated notes and inadequate CCTV coverage found at the Chandrapur currency chest.
According to the Bank of India, the monetary penalty imposed by the RBI will not have any material impact on the financial operations or other activities of the bank.
This disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
