Returns on ₹2 Lakh Investment: A general citizen investing ₹2 lakh in a 5-year FD will receive ₹2,70,701 at maturity, earning fixed interest of ₹70,701. A senior citizen investing the same amount for 5 years will receive ₹2,77,445, including fixed interest of ₹77,445.
