Odisha Budget 2026-27: Know how much was given to which department: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has presented a budget of Rs 3 lakh 10 thousand crore for the people of Odisha. The budget presented in the Assembly for the financial year 2026-27 has targeted the development of sectors such as education, health, transport, agriculture, industry, trade, infrastructure, and women’s empowerment. The state government has allocated Rs 17,736.93 crore for health services and Rs 15,849.30 crore for education.

The state government has given the agriculture sector top priority. A large amount has been allocated in the budget for increasing the income of farmers and providing irrigation facilities. There is a special fund to promote ragi farming and horticulture. The Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana has been expanded to provide free and quality healthcare to the general public. In the education sector, crores of rupees have been allocated for school renovation and the construction of new infrastructure for higher education.

Infrastructure and Industrial Development: The Mohan govt has given priority to new roads, bridges, and various new projects in the budget to strengthen the state’s transportation system. Apart from this, the government’s main goal is to create employment opportunities for local youth through industrialization. A new scheme has been announced to make women self-reliant through Subhadra Shakti. Similarly, special grants have been made for the modernization of tourist destinations and the beautification of temples in Odisha.
