Air Ticket Booking New Rules, Government will bring new rules
The government is going to make a big decision for the people traveling by air in India. If the travelers miss the flight due to an emergency, the entire fare will not be deducted. They will get 80% of the fare back. The government is going to bring this rule soon. With this, the travelers will not have to bear the full loss of the air ticket. That is, now if a passenger misses his flight due to any emergency, then his entire fare will not be deducted. A new refund model is being implemented in the next two to three months. Under the new rules, travelers will be able to get up to 80% of the ticket money back.
The government has been receiving frequent complaints that travelers receive virtually no refunds for last-minute ticket cancellations. Therefore, the Aviation Ministry has decided to develop a new system in collaboration with airlines.
The unique feature of this new model is that travelers will not have to pay any additional fees. A small insurance premium of approximately 50 rupees will be pre-packaged into each ticket, which will be handled by the airlines. This means you won’t have to choose a separate option when purchasing a ticket.
According to the government, a major airline has already begun discussions with insurance companies. It is believed that only a few out of 100 travelers cancel tickets in an emergency, so this model will be beneficial for both companies and travelers.
Currently, insurance is available when booking tickets online, but very few people choose it. Therefore, airlines want to make it part of the ticket package to reduce complaints and protect travelers. Insurance companies will decide the premium amount. If the cancellation figures do not increase too much, then this system will be able to run smoothly for a long time.
