Bihar Govt Announces ₹2 Lakh Additional Assistance for Women Under Employment Scheme
Nitish Govt Strengthens Women Employment Scheme With ₹2 Lakh Incentive: The Bihar government is running the Chief Minister’s Women’s Employment Scheme to make women self-reliant. Under this scheme, one woman from each family is given financial help to start a small business or employment.
In the first phase, eligible women received ₹10,000, which has already been transferred to 1.56 crore women through DBT. The remaining women will get this amount soon.
Now, the Nitish government has expanded the scheme and approved additional assistance of up to ₹2 lakh. This money will be given after reviewing the women’s businesses six months after they start work. The amount may be released in installments or as a lump sum.
The government will also help women sell their products and connect them with schemes like school uniform production, Sudha Dairy, and Didi Ki Rasoi.

This scheme will make women financially strong, create local employment, reduce migration, and strengthen families and society.
