Early Trade Optimism Lifts Sensex and Nifty in Opening Session

Markets Open on a Positive Note; Sensex Gains 65 Points, Nifty Up 62: The domestic stock market opened in the green today with gains. On Wednesday, the BSE Sensex opened at 84,339.15 points, up 65.23 points (0.08%). Similarly, the NSE Nifty 50 index also opened today with a gain of 62.30 points (0.24%) at 25,997.45 points. However, in the first two sessions of this week, the market has traded with a modest gain.

Shares of 37 out of 50 Nifty 50 companies made a positive start:
On Wednesday, shares of 21 out of 30 Sensex companies opened in the green with gains, while the remaining 9 companies opened in the red with losses. Similarly, today, shares of 37 out of 50 Nifty 50 companies opened in the green with gains, while the remaining 13 companies opened in the red with losses. Among Sensex companies, Titan shares opened with the highest gain of 2.26% today, while BEL shares fell the most today, falling 0.49%.


Among the other Sensex stocks, Eternal gained 0.86%, Mahindra & Mahindra 0.81%, Tech Mahindra 0.54%, State Bank of India 0.52%, HCL Tech 0.35%, NTPC 0.33%, Kotak Mahindra Bank 0.33%, TCS 0.32%, Tata Steel 0.26%, Bajaj Finserv 0.26%, Infosys 0.24%, ICICI Bank 0.19%, Asian Paints 0.19%, Maruti Suzuki 0.14%, Reliance Industries 0.08%, Indigo 0.06%, Bajaj Finance 0.06%, ITC 0.05%, Sun Pharma 0.04%, and L&T 0.02%.
