Market Opens in the Red Amid Sharp Swings in Key Stocks: The stock market opened in the red today, falling once again. On Tuesday, the BSE Sensex opened at 83,197.67, down 79.48 points (0.10%). The NSE Nifty 50 index also opened today, losing 44.80 points (0.17%), at 25,637.95. It should be noted that the market had started trading on a down note on Monday as well, but finally closed with a big jump. On Monday, the BSE Sensex had closed at 83,277.15, up 650.39 points, and the Nifty had closed at 25,682.75, up 211.65 points.

Shares of 39 out of 50 Nifty companies opened in the red:
On Tuesday, only 9 of the 30 Sensex companies opened in the green with gains, while the remaining 21 opened in the red with losses. Similarly, only 11 of the 50 Nifty 50 companies opened in the green with gains, while the remaining 39 companies opened in the red with losses, while one company’s stock remained unchanged. Among Sensex companies, Asian Paints’ shares opened with the highest gain of 1.27% today, and Kwality Walls India’s shares fell the most today, with a decline of 3.42%.

Among other Sensex stocks, BEL gained 1.22%, Infosys 0.82%, ITC 0.53%, L&T 0.14%, Indigo 0.13%, Tech Mahindra 0.12%, Power Grid 0.12%, and HCL Tech 0.03%.
