Elon Musk has surpassed all the rich people in the world
Elon Musk: Elon Musk, the owner of Starlink, SpaceX, and Tesla, made history on Monday by becoming the first person whose net worth surpassed $600 billion (approximately ₹54.49 lakh crore). According to Forbes, his net worth reached approximately $677 billion (₹61.47 lakh crore) by midday on December 15. No one in the world has ever been this wealthy before.
This significant increase in Elon Musk’s wealth is primarily due to the sharp rise in the valuation of his private rocket company, SpaceX. A recent tender offer valued SpaceX at $800 billion, up from $400 billion in August. Musk owns approximately 42% of SpaceX, which added $168 billion to his net worth.
He is now $400 billion (approximately ₹36.32 crore) ahead of the second richest person, Larry Page.
In October 2025, Musk became the first person to surpass the $500 billion mark. Now, less than two months later, Musk’s net worth has surged by more than $100 billion.
SpaceX is preparing for an IPO next year, in 2026, which could value the company at up to $1.5 trillion. This could further increase Musk’s wealth.
