However, PNB may soon reduce the FD interest rates. Let us inform you that on Friday, the RBI has once again reduced the repo rate by 0.25 percent, after which the repo rate has come down to 5.25 percent. Today, we will tell you about an FD scheme of PNB, in which a fixed interest of up to Rs 23,872 can be earned by depositing just Rs 1 lakh.

An FD account can be opened in Punjab National Bank for a period ranging from 7 days to 10 years. Punjab National Bank is offering interest ranging from 3.00 percent to 7.30 percent on FD accounts to its customers. This government bank is offering the highest interest of 6.50 percent to general citizens, 7.00 percent to senior citizens, and 7.30 percent to very senior citizens on 390-day FD. Punjab National Bank is offering interest of 6.40 percent to general citizens, 6.90 percent to senior citizens, and 7.00 percent to very senior citizens on 3 3-year FDs.

If you are a normal citizen and deposit Rs 1 lakh in a 3-year FD scheme with PNB, you will get a total of Rs 1,20,983 on maturity, which includes Rs 20,983 as fixed interest. Similarly, if you are a senior citizen and deposit Rs 1 lakh in a 3-year FD scheme with PNB, you will get a total of Rs 1,22,781 on maturity, which includes Rs 22,781 as fixed interest. If you are a super senior citizen and deposit Rs 1 lakh in a 3-year FD scheme with PNB, you will get a total of Rs 1,23,872 on maturity, which includes Rs 23,872 as interest.
