₹111 Increase in LPG Cylinder Prices Adds Burden on Consumers
LPG cylinder prices have increased on the first day of the New Year 2026. However, this is limited to 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders. The prices have increased by Rs 111 and will be effective from 1 January 2026. After this increase, the price of a 19 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi has now increased to Rs 1691.50. Earlier, it was Rs 1580.50. Similarly, its price in Kolkata has increased from Rs 1684 to Rs 1795. In Mumbai, it will now be available for Rs 1642.50, compared to Rs 1531.50 earlier. In Chennai, the price has been increased to Rs 1849.50 from Rs 1739.50.
Commercial LPG cylinders are used in hotels, restaurants, dhabas, and other commercial establishments. Earlier, the price of 19 Kg commercial gas cylinder was cut in the last month of the year, December. From 1 December 2025, the price was reduced by Rs 10 in Delhi and Kolkata, while Rs 11 in Mumbai and Chennai.
There has been no change in the price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder for household use. It was last updated on 8 April 2025. Its current price in Delhi is Rs 853. Similarly, Kolkata is Rs 879, Mumbai is Rs 852.50, Chennai is Rs 868.50, Lucknow is Rs 890.50, Ahmedabad is Rs 860, Hyderabad is Rs 905, Varanasi is Rs 916.50, and Patna is Rs 951.
