Odisha Budget 2026-27 Tabled: CM Majhi Unveils ₹3 Lakh Crore Development Plan
CM Mohan Charan Majhi Presents Odisha Budget 2026-27 with Focus on Inclusive Growth: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi presented the budget for the financial year 2026-27 in the Assembly on Friday afternoon. The Chief Minister has presented a budget of Rs 3 lakh 10 thousand crore for the upcoming financial year. It has targeted the state for development works in education, health, transportation, sports, industry, trade, women and child development and welfare, social empowerment, etc.
The Chief Minister said, “We are taking strong steps towards building a developed and prosperous Odisha by basing our faith on the immense mercy of Lord Jagannath and your unwavering trust.” The state government has taken several steps for the development of Puri. A world-class museum and other projects worth Rs 1,000 crore have been taken up. A ‘Samarpana’ digital fund (hundi) has been launched for Lord Jagannath. Through this, devotees from all over the country and abroad can connect. As per the election promise, I am proposing to approve Rs 5000 crore for Puri, said the CM.
The Chief Minister said that our goal is clear – to extend the benefits of development to the last rung of society. This budget is committed to realizing the dream of ‘Antyoday’ by creating prosperity for the breadwinners, empowering women, and providing new opportunities for the youth.
