Pet Parents Alert: Namo Bharat Boarding Rules for Dogs & Cats Explained

Can You Take Your Dog or Cat on Namo Bharat? What NCRTC’s Pet Travel Rules Say: If you’re planning to travel with your pet dog or cat on the Namo Bharat (Rapid Rail) or Metro, this news is for you. The management of the Rapid Rail service operating in the National Capital Region has made it clear that entry of pets into trains and station premises will be strictly prohibited. This means that traveling with pets on the Namo Bharat will no longer be possible. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has taken this decision for the safety and convenience of passengers.

According to officials, the presence of animals during rush hour can create chaos. Many passengers are allergic to animals or are afraid of them, which can create an uncomfortable travel environment. Notice boards are being posted at the main entrances and near ticket counters of stations to inform passengers of this rule.

Security personnel have been instructed to stop passengers arriving with pets at the entrance. Anyone violating the rules and attempting to forcibly enter will face a fine. Legal action may also be taken if necessary.

Maintaining cleanliness on the railway and station premises is also a major reason for this decision. Furthermore, security agencies believe that unruly animals in crowded areas could increase the risk of accidents or conflicts. Therefore, it is essential to prioritize the collective safety of passengers.
