Budget 2026: VB-G RAM G Takes Top Spot, See here the funding list for all schemes: The Union Budget 2026 shows that the government’s focus remains on villages, the poor, farmers, and workers. While presenting the budget in Parliament, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman highlighted schemes that directly support livelihoods during a time of economic slowdown and rising prices. The budget is built around employment, agriculture, health, and food security.

VB-G RAM G Gets the Highest Funding:

The biggest allocation in Budget 2026 is for VB-G RAM G (earlier MNREGA). The scheme has received ₹95,692 crore, along with an additional ₹30,000 crore for programme expenses. This will benefit rural workers and support village development works like roads, ponds, and canals, making it the top-funded scheme.

Support for Farmers Continues:

The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme has been allotted ₹63,500 crore. Though the amount is largely unchanged, it will continue to provide direct cash support to small and marginal farmers.

Health Coverage Strengthened:

For healthcare, ₹9,500 crore has been allocated to Ayushman Bharat, helping poor families manage the cost of serious medical treatment.

Major Push for Food Security:

The government has allocated over ₹2.27 lakh crore for the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, ensuring free and subsidised food grains for crores of beneficiaries.

Overall, Budget 2026 prioritises welfare schemes that directly impact everyday life.
