This decision was issued by the electric scooter company “Ather Energy” on Monday. Up to Rs 3,000 hike on every electric scooter, said “Ather Energy“.
Ather Energy stated that the price increase for its scooters is due to rising global prices of raw materials, foreign exchange fluctuations, and key electronic components. Ather Energy’s current product lineup includes the 450 series scooters and the Rizta, with prices ranging from ₹1,14,546 to ₹1,82,946. The company also announced that it is currently offering benefits of up to ₹20,000 on the purchase of Ather electric scooters in select cities across the country as part of its ‘Electric December’ offer.
A major update regarding Delhi’s new EV policy also emerged on Monday. According to sources, the Delhi government is expected to release the draft of the new EV policy by the first week of January. The new Delhi EV policy is being designed to provide significant relief to the middle class. The Delhi government is planning to offer substantial subsidies on the purchase of electric two-wheelers (scooters and motorcycles) in the draft EV policy. Sources indicate that under the new Delhi EV policy, a subsidy of Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000 could be offered for switching from petrol-powered two-wheelers to electric ones.
