The Central Government Earned Rs 800 Crore From Scrap
The Modi government earned 800 crore by selling scrap through ‘Swachhata Abhiyan’ last month. This amount is larger than the budget of Chandrayaan-3. The Chandrayan-3 mission has completed the budget of 615 crore. This successful landed on the moon. This campaign started in year of 2021. From the year of 2021 to 2025, the government has earned a total of Rs 4,100 crore.
232 square feet areas are clean on the dates of 2 to 31 October in the ‘Swachhata Abhiyan’. However, 29 lakh files are scraped. This campaign was one of the big campaigns. This campaign has 11.58 lakh office spaces. Effective coordination was established between 84 Ministries and Departments, including Missions abroad, under the aegis of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DAR&PG).
Three senior ministers of the government, Mansukh Mandaviya, K. Ram Mohan Naidu, and Dr. Jitendra Singh, oversaw the entire process. Between 2021 and 2025, the central government launched five successful special campaigns that helped institutionalize cleanliness and reduce backlogs in government cases.
The total progress achieved in these five campaigns includes covering 23.62 lakh offices under the “Cleanliness” campaign, freeing up 928.84 lakh square feet of space, shredding or closing 166.95 lakh files, and earning ₹4,097.24 crore from scrap sales.
