Gold and Silver rate: Gold prices fell in India on the morning of December 17th. In the capital city of Delhi, the price of 24-karat gold dropped to ₹134,000 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, the price is ₹133,850 per 10 grams.

The main reasons for the decline are weak global cues and profit-taking by investors. In the international market, the spot price of gold is $4,277.42 per ounce. Let’s look at the gold rates in some major cities across the country…

Gold prices in Bhubaneswar: The price of 24-karat gold in Delhi is ₹1,33,850 per 10 grams.  The price of 22-karat gold is ₹1,22,690 per 10 grams.

Gold Prices in Delhi: The price of 24-karat gold in Delhi is ₹1,34,000 per 10 grams.  The price of 22-karat gold is ₹1,22,840 per 10 grams.

Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata: Currently, the price of 22-karat gold in Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata is ₹1,22,740 per 10 grams, while the price of 24-karat gold is ₹1,33,850 per 10 grams.

Experts say that if global conditions and the rupee-dollar exchange rate remain largely unchanged or the rupee weakens, the price of gold could rise by 5 to 16 percent in 2026.  Gold prices in the domestic market have already increased by 65% ​​so far this year.

Silver Price: Like gold, silver prices also fell on Wednesday morning. The price has dropped to Rs 1,99,000 per kilogram. In international markets, the spot price of silver is $63.02 per ounce.  Domestic prices of gold and silver are influenced by both domestic and global factors.
