WhatsApps “About” Feature, Know how will it works
WhatsApp New Feature: WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature. It might seem like a feature similar to Instagram Notes. It’s actually an update to WhatsApp’s old About status. The feature lets you share a short text update or emoji, and the short text update shows your current status, mood, or availability. This update will now appear more prominently in one-to-one chats and on your profile. Your contacts can reply directly by tapping on your About status, making it easier to start a chat.
Steps to Set ‘About’ in WhatsApp:
-Open WhatsApp
-Launch the WhatsApp application on your phone.
-Go to Settings.
-On Android, tap the three dots in the top-right corner and then select Settings.
-On iPhone, tap the Settings tab in the bottom-right corner.
-Tap your profile and, in the Settings menu, tap your name and profile photo at the top.
-This will open your profile information.
-Go to the About section and you’ll see your current update next to About on your profile screen.
-Tap About and you can choose from pre-set options, such as Available, Busy, At school, At the movies, and others. You can write your custom description by tapping the pencil icon below the option “Currently set to” or similar, and save it.
-After writing the custom description, tap the Save button or the Back button.
-Now, whenever someone views your WhatsApp profile, they will see your new About details below your profile photo and name.
Using the About feature, you can post your current status, a favorite quote, a song lyric, or any other update, allowing your contacts to chat with you based on your About status.
