Stock Market: Sensex Tops 84,237, Nifty Trades Higher
Stock market opens strong; Sensex crosses 84,237, Nifty also rises: The Indian stock market opened on a positive note on Tuesday, February 10, the second trading session of the week. The major benchmark indices, the BSE Sensex and the NSE Nifty 50, opened in the green.
The 30-share BSE Sensex index rose 144.25 points, or 0.17%, to 84,210.00, while the NSE Nifty 50 jumped 55.35 points, or 0.21%, to 25,922.65.
By 9:20 am, the Sensex was trading at 84,259, up 193 points. The Nifty 50 was trading at 25,929, up 61 points.

How Was the Market on Monday?
On Monday, February 9th, the stock market witnessed a strong rally. Both major benchmark indices closed in the green. The Sensex gained 485.35 points, or 0.58%, to close at 84,065.75, while the NSE Nifty 50 jumped 173.60 points, or 0.68%, to close at 25,867.30.
Stakes in the Nifty 100, Nifty Bank, Nifty FMCG, Nifty Midcap 100, Nifty Smallcap 100, Nifty IT, and Nifty Auto were among the top gainers. On Monday, 22 stocks in the BSE basket closed in the green, while 8 declined.
