All Bank Website Address Has Changed, ‘.com’ Or ‘.co.in’ Will No Longer Be Used

Domain names of the websites of all major banks have been changed

The domain names of all major banks across the country have been changed. Whether it’s SBI, ICICI, or HDFC, their websites no longer end with .com or .co.in. All bank websites will now end with .bank.in. This sudden change raised suspicion among many. However, this isn’t a fraud but a new RBI safety policy.

The RBI has taken this step to protect against online banking fraud and phishing attacks. Previously, fraudsters would create fake websites resembling banks using domain names like .com or .in to defraud people of their money. But this will no longer be the case, as .bank.in is a super-secure domain that can only be used by banks and financial institutions approved by the RBI.

If you’re still logging in using the old .com or .co.in address, be careful! Such links can also take you to a fake site. Therefore, from now on, when checking the address of any banking website, make sure it ends with .bank.in.

The RBI had ordered all banks to complete this change by October 31, 2025. Now, almost all banks have implemented it. This step is considered a major blow to cybercrime. It’s important for customers to know that one wrong click can empty your account. You need to be vigilant. Now, customers should trust only .bank.in.
