On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the gold futures contract expiring on March 5, 2026, opened at ₹144,700 (per 10 grams) on Tuesday. ​​On the last trading day, gold had closed at ₹141,669 on the MCX.

At 10:00 AM on February 3, the March 5 expiry gold contract was trading at ₹146,514 on the MCX, representing a gain of approximately ₹5,000 from the previous day’s closing price. MCX gold reached a high of ₹149,518 in early trading.
