Gold and silver prices fall sharply ahead of the budget; Now 10 gram gold at this price: Just before the presentation of the 2026 budget, a sharp decline has been observed in the prices of gold and silver. The prices of both precious metals are falling from their record highs in the futures market. At 9:52 AM on February 1st, the price of gold for April delivery on the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) declined 5.94 percent from the previous session, falling to ₹1,43,300 per 10 grams. Similarly, the price of silver for March delivery plummeted by a massive 9 percent from the previous session, reaching ₹2,65,652 per kilogram.
