In the domestic market, silver futures on the MCX opened at a record high on Wednesday. Silver opened at an all-time high of ₹3,80,200 per kilogram, which is about 5 percent higher than the previous closing price. The day before, on January 27, silver had reached a record level of ₹3,69,000 per kilogram.
Experts say that international tensions are supporting silver prices. US President Donald Trump has made strong statements regarding tariffs on Canada and South Korea. This has increased uncertainty among investors, leading them to seek safer investment options.
