January 26 Update: Gold Prices See Mild Cooling After Recent Rally
Know the Latest Gold Prices in Your Cities Today, 26th January: Gold prices, which have been touching record highs amid global geopolitical tensions, slipped slightly on Monday. In Delhi, 24-karat gold traded at ₹1,60,040 per 10 grams, while 22-karat gold stood at ₹1,47,040 per 10 grams. The price of 18-karat gold was ₹1,20,330 per 10 grams.
People usually buy 24-karat gold for investment as it is the purest form. Jewellers mainly use 22-karat and 18-karat gold to make ornaments.
Silver prices also declined today. In the national capital, silver traded at ₹3,34,900 per kilogram, showing a slight weakness compared to earlier sessions.
City-wise prices showed similar trends. In Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, 24-karat gold traded at around ₹1,60,250 per 10 grams, 22-karat gold at ₹1,46,890 per 10 grams, and 18-karat gold at ₹1,20,180 per 10 grams. In Chennai, 24-karat gold was priced at ₹1,59,480 per 10 grams, 22-karat at ₹1,47,490, and 18-karat gold at ₹1,22,990 per 10 grams. Prices in Lucknow remained the same as Delhi.
Market experts say gold and silver prices may continue to fluctuate in the coming days due to global factors and movements in the US dollar.
