At 9:03 AM (IST), spot silver was trading at $78.74 per ounce, representing a 2.78% increase in a single day and a 2.90% increase over the past week. Market experts attribute the recent surge in both gold and silver prices primarily to global geopolitical tensions, particularly the recent military developments between the US and Venezuela, which have led investors to seek safe-haven assets.
