₹22 Per Share Dividend Declared by IT Firm; Investors Cheer: Indian companies are announcing their December quarter results, and investors have received good news. IT company Persistent Systems has declared an interim dividend of ₹22 per share (face value ₹5) for the current financial year.

The company approved the dividend in its board meeting on January 20. It has fixed January 27 as the record date. Investors must buy the shares by January 23 to be eligible, as the market will remain closed on January 24–26 due to the weekend and Republic Day.

Persistent Systems will credit the dividend amount directly to shareholders’ bank accounts within 30 days, likely by March 20.

On January 21, the stock closed 1.57% lower at ₹6,243.80 on the BSE. The stock has touched a 52-week high of ₹6,597 and a 52-week low of ₹4,168.80.
